TRAIL REPORT
This report is intended to provide the most up to date
information available however, CITRA assumes no responsibility for it’s
contents. Trails in the forest constitute a dynamic environment that includes
snow melt runoff, rain events, fire, wind fall timber, etc. CITRA recommends
that unless you or someone you know and trust (like your mother) cut the trail
yesterday, and the wind hasn’t blown, that you carry at least one chain saw per
party. It’s also a good idea to carry tools for both your saw and bike as well
as some basic survival gear in case you need to spend the night in the woods.
If you encounter downed timber and aren’t carrying a saw, please turn back and
don’t leave the trail to go around obstacles. “Go Arounds” do tremendous damage
to the surrounding landscape and will not only contribute to the trail’s demise
but could ultimately result in it’s closure. Our intent is to update this report on a weekly basis during the riding season. Things change quickly as the snow recedes so check often for updates. These trails are maintained by the Forest Service, the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation Trail Ranger program, clubs like CITRA and CIMBA, as well as individuals. Please take a moment to thank these people when you see them. If you do perform work on a trail please click on the trail maintenance log tab and fill out the form. These forms are used to keep this report up to date. This will only work if everyone participates. | LOGINTo view the full Trail Report, please log in. Not a member yet?
